What should I do if my Blu-Ray player does not seem to be functioning properly?

Some newer Blu-Ray movies have incorporated changes to digital rights management (DRM) that are not supported by earlier model Blu-ray players, including the Memorex MVBD Blu-Ray players. If you are experiencing an issue where older Blu-ray and DVD movies play properly while newer Blu-ray discs do not, this is likely the problem.

All of the Memorex Blu-Ray players were discontinued in 2009 and newer updates are no longer available. While the Memorex player will continue to work for your older Blu-ray discs and DVDs, it may be necessary to replace the unit to play these newer Blu-ray movies.

If your player is not reliably playing previously viewed discs, there is a possibility that the firmware has been corrupted. Updating the firmware may correct the problem. Firmware and update instructions are located below for your specific model.
